US Marshals Nab Wanted Child Rapist and Fatal Hit and Run Driver

Derek Reid was arrested by the US Marshals Service and transferred to the Philadelphia Police, to face serious charges.
He was suspected of raping a 14 year old boy in April of this year. He was arrested on the 7200 block of Briar Rd., earlier today. Once in custody, he was also charged with being the driver that struck and killed 20 year old Bryce Wolf, a Temple University student, who was riding a motorcycle on Kelly Drive, police said.
On the night of June 24, 2026 a white SUV that was operated by Reid made an illegal U-turn , striking the motorcycle and dragging Wolf over a mile, from Reservoir Drive to the area of Fountain Green Drive — before the victim became dislodged,” according to officials.
Wolf was an honors student with a promising future.
