Serial Bank Robber From NY Gets Prison For Bucks, Delco and Montco Hold-Ups.

A resident from upstate New York, Mark Masich was just sentenced to nine to 36 years in state prison for robbing several banks in Bensalem and Middletown Twps. in 2024. It was in December , close to the holidays when he started his spree of thefts that got him caught in Bensalem. The sentence was 18 to 36 months in prison per bank. The sentence must be served consecutive. Masich pleaded no-contest plea to a first-degree felony charge of robbery and pleaded guilty to five other felony robbery charges.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., Masich entered the TD Bank at 2751 Street Road in Bensalem wearing a black knit hat, black surgical mask, navy blue sweatshirt, and black pants. He handed a teller a demand note instructing them to hand over cash without trackers. The teller activated a silent alarm and informed him that the cash machine was inaccessible, prompting Masich to flee the scene.
Thirteen minutes later, Masich entered the Santander Bank at 1425 Street Road while still wearing the mask. When employees informed him that he had to lower it, he left the building without incident.
He tried this tactic in Middletown a short time before this. A Middletown cop advised radio that a small black Nissan could be involved. That is when officers decided to check local banks. One officer spotted the car and caught Masich running from the store with a bag containing $4000.00 in cash. He used a demand note for the hold ups.
During an interview, he admitted to six bank robberies in Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. .
