Philly and Bucks County Emergency Services Respond To Serious Crash On Woodhaven Road
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Around 6:00 PM this evening, a steady rain was falling on Woodhaven Road. That could have been partially to blame for a serious two vehicle crash on the East Bound lanes of Woodhaven Road, just before the city limits. The crash was in Philadelphia.
That fact did not stop Philly rescue companies and Bensalem rescue units from responding in tow help two injured drivers. Hurst hydraulic tools were used to free the driver of a small box truck that was pinned when his vehicle was flush against a guide rail that had to be cut and removed.
Philadelphia brought two ambiances to the scene and both drivers were seriously hurt. They were both traveling east when the crash happened. Police were not certain what happened but the pick-up truck was turned the wrong way in it’s final resting position.
The box truck had heavy front end damage. There were minimal skid marks present at the scene. Traffic was diverted to the access road.
