AC/DC “Pwr Up” Pop Up Store Now Open In Downtown Philly

Fans of Australian rock titan’s AC/DC will be pleased to know that a new pop up store for the band has opened at the Hard Rock Cafe at 11th and Market Streets in Philadelphia. Last night was the preview and today, the store is open and it will stay open until the concert on September 29, 2026.
A pop up store is basically a store that is temporary. Empty space is taken over and specific merchandise is brought in for a short time span. This space is part museum, part store and part club. It is all dedicated to AC/DC.
Fans last night gathered at 11:00 AM just to be the first through the doors. There are giant AC/DC logos, a cannon and a backdrop showing the band’s iconic logos through the years. It’s all free to see and take photos with. Oh yeah, there is also one of Angus Young’s guitars that you can pose for photos with as well,
Large screens that normally show ball games or various rock videos show nothing but AC/DC videos, including interviews. Vintage cassette tapes, trading cards are also able to be seen. Against the right wall when you come in is the merch stand. It’s not just T shirts, although clothing is a large part of what is for sale, there is also an AC/DC Monopoly game, bobble heads, and devil horns that light up,just to name a few items for sale..

Prior to opening, fans got rowdy towards the front and sang along to AC/DC songs as curious travelers passing through the Jefferson Train Station looked at them with astonishment and puzzled looks. If you don’t have tickets to the show, there is a chance to win a pair while you are there.
