Valley Of Fear, located on Bristol Road, in Feasterville , Bucks County PA held a media and influencer night to show off what they had. Spread out on the property of the Phoenix Sports Club, you will need your walking shoes to take it all in.

First up the the hayride, which you are pulled along a flatbed wagon as all kinds of zombies and undead creatures accost you and show you what will happen if you go farther. Decapitations, and people getting attacked.Only they don’t appear to be people, they are made up in ghoulish make up and maybe it’s a good thing that their attacker got to them before they can make it onto the wagon with you.

There is a demented Willy Wonka. that puts on a show reminiscent to the boat ride in the first movie. Should you remember or re watch that movie, that scene is truly frightening. However this Wonka is not the friendly maker of confections, there is truly something wrong with this guy that is in front of you. Just wait until you see the Oompa Loompas.

There is a new attraction, Dracula’s Castle. We’re not going to go too much into it here but you will like it when you see it. The wagons let you off in front of the Haunted House. Inside, you are brought into an elevator that is broken and plunges you into the basement. Once in the basement, it’s anyone’s guess as to what will happen. It’s clear you don’t belong there as the people “working” there are not used to visitors.

This is set as an old hotel complete with desks, old radios and rooms that you would not see in a one star motel. The lighting effects and monsters that live there are really on point.Up next is an old ship wreck. This is where you have to do the most walking, as the wrecked boat is in various pieces all over the attraction. There is a galley that no one in their right mind would eat in, lasers with anamatronics that pop- up when you least expect it. Maybe you do expect it but it’s still cool to see.

Not everything that scares at Valley Of Fear is a real person. A lot is props that pop out, robots and lighting. The lighting so so important. It has to balance the atmosphere and safety that this haunt does that.

Then there is Beetlejuice. The ancient character that just makes appearances. You see him at the start of an attraction , again in the middle and then maybe at the end. He never passed you, he just shows up. He will walk the grounds and for those stuck in a line, he has been known to bump them up to VIP status, but only if you can answer his questions about the movie. He is sort of like the ambassador of VOF.

A few hacks to VOF: Get there early. Parking is free but the closer you get to Halloween, the farther you park and roads do get congested. Early gets you to the front of the line of at least one attraction. Be prepared to walk. You are walking in woods so closed toe shoes in good condition is a must have. There are food trucks selling items like brisket to chicken tenders. You can eat there after the attractions have been visited. There are bonfires and yes you can make Smores . Do the hayride twice, once on each side you get get up close and personal with everything. This haunt runs until November 1 .

The founder, Tom Yeagle died this past year. He would be proud of how his legacy has carried on.
