Two Vehicle Crash Injures Two In Bristol Twp
by Alex Lloyd Gross
A grinding two vehicle crash tied up traffic and injured two drivers last night at the intersection of 413 and Rittenhouse in Bristol Township. The crash was reported about 6:30 PM and was reported that there were two injuries so a medic unit was dispatched as well.
One driver, in a pick-up- truck made a left turn and the other vehicle, a passenger car was going straight. Both drivers said they will seek medical treatment on their own and the squad was put back into service. In the meantime, fire crews were dispatched to take care of hazards leaking from the vehicles.
The cars were blocking the road until they could be moved. This crash happened in what would have been Newportville Fire Company’s district. Since the township voted to disband the company, there were no fire police helping direct traffic, so that task fell to the police, who were busy investigating the crash. The covering fire company does not have fire police. More than once an errant driver tried to go through the scene or appeared confused at the traffic patterns.
Both drivers were from the local area.
