City to host Victory Parade for Villanova

The city of Philadelphia announced today, April 5 2016 that they will host a Victory Parade for the NCAA Champions Villanova Wildcats Mens Basketball Team. The team won their first championship in 31 years. They beat the North Carolina Tarheels on a last second buzzer beater. The parade will be held this Friday April 8, 2016 and will commence at 1:00 PM at 20th and Market Streets. It will conclude with a rally at Dillworth Plaza .
The festivities are being planned and more information will be released shortly. The plan is to host this event in the mid afternoon and have everything cleared out in time for the evening rush home. Delaware Valley News.com will have all of the information as it becomes available.
