Arrest made in deadly hit and run

John Cook,  of the 4800 block of Tackawana Street in the Frankford  the city is in a world of trouble right now.  Cops in Philadelphia have charged him with homici9de by motor vehicle , leaving the scene of an accident  and related charges, stemming from his involvement in a fatal hit and run  that happened in the city yesterday, May 24, 2016. Cook turned himself in at Police Headquarters eight hours after the crash.

As first reported by Delaware Valley News.com, cops expected to make an arrest quickly. Cook was charged overnight, after  all of the evidence was reviewed. He did not have a valid drivers license when he is alleged to  have driven down Bustleton Ave. at a high rate of speed and killed Alejo Molina who was waiting for a bus.  Cook is facing several felony charges. remained at the scene  Had he remained at the scene, he would have been in trouble and charged but He made things worse for himself by fleeing. He now faces several additional charges.

Police did not say if he had insurance or if  his vehicle was properly registered.
