By Alex Lloyd Gross
When US Marshall’s determined that a fugitive from justice was living in the northeast, they set up surveillance and hoped to take him in custody. It did not work out that way. Ken Robledo was wanted by the feds and Philadelphia Police for an attempted murder charge for an incident that happened in July of this year. They had good information listing an address on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street as the place of residence for Robledo.
They started a stakeout at about 9:00 AM today ,December 12 2016 along the area where he lived. When the agents spotted him leaving the house about 10:15 AM, “The agents told him to stop and he ran”, said Jim Burk . As the chase wound up a few yards away from his house, in a driveway, the Robledo stopped and pointed a gun at the agents. “One agent fired his gun at the suspect”, Burke said. The suspect lay dead in the driveway and additional resources showed up .
The shooting is being handled by the Philadelphia Police Dept. Burke said that not officers or anyone else was injured in the incident. Robledo’s body laid in the driveway for several hours, until it was carted off by the police. Most of the residents have no idea of what happened until the got home from work and saw the news.
