A house fire in Bristol Borough kept first responders busy yesterday,  when a cable company doing an install is alleged to have started the fire, officials said.  The house, located on bath street sustained serious damage to the interior. It is a twin house so the dwelling next door, called an exposure, sustained smoke damage as well.

One person suffered minor injuries in the blaze, which was reported  just after 1:00 PM. That person, a cable installer was taken to the hospital.  Fire companies from across the lower end of Bucks County were called to fight the fire, or to cover stations that were engaged in firefighting operations.  To make matters worse for first responders,  traffic lights along Veterans Highway were out and had to be run by generators.

By 4:30 PM, all of the fire trucks had been returned to service. Board up crews and public adjusters milled the area, trying to sign up clients.
