New inductees to Philly Music Walk of Fame

A press event was held today, August 3, 2017, at the Independence Visitors Center , right in the heart of the historic district. It was there, in the second floor ballroom that Mia Tinari, the Philadelphia Music Alliance Vice Chair announced that Jill Scott, Sister Sledge, Bob Pantano, McFadden & Whitehead, Labelle, Sister Rosetta Thorpe, The Soul Survivors, and Chris Schwartz & Joe Nicolo. were going to inducted and have plaques installed in their name. along Broad Street.
There will be a public unveiling on Broad Street October 4, 2017 with a gala performance later that night at the Fillmore. Here is the link to purchase tickets to that event. For past events,they have put tabled on the floor and it’s like a dinner theater. For the unveiling of Broad Street, that usually happens around lunch time, and people who happen to be in center city can get to see this for free.
