Battery thief in Bensalem is caught

Bensalem police are crediting the public , along with sharp police work in the swift arrest of a couple from Philadelphia who were accused of stealing truck batteries. You can read the original story here.

As of August 21, 2018 Nicholas Crozier of Philadelphia and Danielle Strumbaugh who also resides in Philadelphia and was a girl friend of Crozier admitted to police her role in the thefts.  Cops got the break when multiple tips came in and this couple  tried to steal batteries in the northeast section of Philadelphia. An alert person saw this and copied a tag number down to give to detectives. Bensalem Police followed up on this tip and found the vehicle belonged to Strumbaugh. Her boyfriend matched the description seen in security footage. Within hours, an arrest warrant was signed and Crozier was in custody.

Crozier was charged with eight counts of theft from vehicles and receiving stolen property, as well as conspiracy. He was taken away to the Bucks County Prison under $350,000 bail .Strumbach consented to an interview where she admitted to her role in the thefts. She is free on $75,000 unsecured bail.
