Lower Makefield Resident Drove To North Carolina Only To Find Out They Were Scammed

A resident of Lower Makefield, Bucks County was scammed out of money recently when they saw a puppy for sale on the internet. After conversing with the seller money was exchanged online and the person drove to North Carolina, about eight hours away  to pick up their new family member.  When they arrived at the residence, the person there had no knowledge of any puppy for sale.

 

In addition to the money spent on the fictitious dog,  factor in fuel and time.  Police are investigating.

Another resident of the township got a cal from their bank asking if they made a credit card purchase of $540.23.  They did not. . Police are investigating that fraud as well.
