October 1 2020,  Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States announced that both he and his wife Melania tested positive for COVID-19.  He has started quarantine immediately.  Trump, who routinely referred to coronavirus as “The Chinese Virus” or “The Chinese Flu”  tested after his communications staffer Hope Hicks also tested positive.

It is unknown who the carrier is that Trump caught this from, or his wife, Melania.  This does play a major factor in his schedule,  with just over a month to go until the November 3 election.  This could also affect White House operations, as anyone in the White House could now be a carrier. From  The housekeeping crew to the Secret Service. Even reporters that have covered the White House  could be exposed, even if they had no direct contact with President Trump.

Trump is expected to cancel all outside trips and that could include the debates.  As of this date, he has tested positive but is not showing any symptoms from the virus. There has been no word on his son Baron.
