Police Car Crash In Kensington Injures Four

It was just before 1:00 PM on September 2 2021 when two police officers were trying to  stop a vehicle that was speeding on  Allegheny Avenue . As the officers were traveling on Allegheny , they reached the intersection of Rorer Street where they collided with a van. After the initial collision, the police car appeared to strike a parked vehicle.

 

 

Medics transported a total of four people from the accident, including two officers that were in the car.  Allegheny Avenue was blocked for an investigation and clean up for  several hours  after the accident.  Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.  The van appeared to be a commercial vehicle and had a caution light on top of it . It was carrying ladders, which spilled onto the street.

 

 

Police said that none of the drivers will be charged. They did not say if the police car was operated with lights and sirens on it. No charges have been filed as of press time.
