Major Gas Leak In Mayfair

A vehicle has struck a gas line at a car rental establishment on Cottman Avenue near Frankford Avenue. This happened at about 11:00 AM.
A daycare has been evacuated and a SEPTA bus has been called to t he scene. The bus will house the evacuees and keep them safe. Traffic is in the process of being diverted around the area. PGW has been called to the scene to stop the leak. The incident should be brought under control before noon, officials said.
