It was just before 8:00 AM today, when a passenger vehicle traveling at high speed veered out of control and collided with a work truck, that was carrying  windows and lumber. The crash happened on Radcliffe Street at the intersection with Hammond. This is in the vicinity of the turnpike bridge.

Several  people in the truck and the passenger car sustained serious injuries.  The front seat passenger of the car was heavily trapped. Fire crews used rescue tools  to free him. The other two passengers in the car were hurt but are in stable condition, police said. The front seat passenger is very critical. The driver of the car, he ran away from the scene on foot.

He had a cane with him when he was arrested, police said.  After about an hour of being on the run,  he was arrested near Wilson Avenue, after being tracked. He was taken into custody and brought to Lower Bucks Hospital, where he told police that he was not the driver of the car.  He did have blood on his shirt when arrested, police said.

Radcliffe Street was closed for several hours until just before 11:30AM. During that time, officers took measurements and did a skid test. This one block detour was  difficult for some trucks to navigate,  as the drivers were unfamiliar with the area. The driver of the car has not been charged as of noon.  Police are looking for security camera footage  to help them determine more facts about this crash.

  1. If this is Radcliff then it was Bristol borough, not township. News to be believed must be factual, no matter how narrow the information might be.

    1. The information in this article is indeed factual and it IS Bristol TOWNSHIP at that intersection. The BOROUGH does not begin until after the intersection of Green Lane.

    2. Not necessarily true,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if in the Edgely area the Bristol Borough and Bristol Township has a fine line as i believe its Edgely and Edgely is in Bristol Twp at least under the bridge on Radcliffe? Not sure but somebody can check it out.

  2. Sorry to burst your bubble but this story is indeed factually correct. The Bristol TOWNSHIP section of Radcliffe Street begins at the border of Tullytown and extends to Green Lane where it THEN turns into Bristol BOROUGH.
Also take a look at the police car (2543). That is a TOWNSHIP police car.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I answered the 911 call for the wreck, so my FACTS are correct.
