Philadelphia Police on routine patrol spotted a vehicle that matched a description of on that they were looking for , regarding a multiple shooting in Kensington.  This vehicle, a dark colored Honda , with blue, aftermarket headlights was wanted for the multiple shooting outside a Kensignton bar.

Upon a more in depth investigation, police determined that the Honda was not involved in the shooting.

When police spotted this car near Frankford and Allegheny, they attempted to stop the car and talk with the driver.  The driver, however had other plans. He sped off, at high speed, through Northeast Philadelphia  and over the Tacony Palmyra Bridge, in the hopes that cops would not follow.  He was wrong, they did follow.  The helicopter also followed him.  He tried to drive straight through on Route 73 , passing through Burlington and Camden Counties, which inter lap along the road.

As he got to Evesham Township,  he pulled into a funeral home parking lot , as police commanders recalled the ground units back to the city. The helicopter would follow from overhead. The driver thought it would be a good idea to abandon the Honda and run. He was caught about 10 minutes later, nearby. Philadelphia Police were given permission to return to the scene to help search for the male.

Philadelphia Police could not communicate with their NJ counterparts due to radio problems, so they resorted to calling 911 to let them know what was going on.  Evesham police showed up. According to Miguel Torres, spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police,  .”At this time he is being held in Evesham Township, he has not be extradited back to Philadelphia.”  Detectives are working the case and trying to speak with him.

The car he was driving was not reported stolen as of 10:00 AM.  He will eventually be charged with something but for now, police are not releasing his name.  The car he was driving has been impounded. The dark tint and blue headlights were what drew the attention of police. Had he simply pulled over, he would not have been in the trouble he is now in, police said.
