Philadelphia Police are trying to figure out what caused a crash at Princeton and Cottage Streets. The end result was about five cars damaged, some of them were parked.
Police were looking into reports that the driver who caused the entire wreck was fleeing from a theft that happened about a mile away. Cops said preliminarily, the vehicle stuck a car at Cottage and Princeton and then continued to Walker Street, slamming into cars along the way, including on van that was totaled and pushed onto the sidewalk.
Three medic units were called to the scene. The driver responsible for the crash ran away on foot. The accident happened about 1:15 PM. Police at the scene sated that they were not involved in any chase , nor were they following the striking vehicle at any time.
