Police Release Photos Of Wanted Driver and Car In Ogontz Fatal Hit and Run

On February 27,2024, Toby Maurice Bryant, 27, from 1500 McKinley Street, was crossing the 7900 Ogontz Avenue when he was stuck and killed by a car. The driver stopped, checked the damage to his car and then sped off, north on Ogontz Avenue, towards the 8000 block . Bryant was pronounced dead at 11:18 PM, police said.
Police checked area security cameras and found the car, a 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred, Silver with possible front-end and front windshield damage with and pre-existing damage to the driver side rear quarter panel.
Had the driver stayed at the scene, it is doubtful they would have faced any serious charges. Police said that Bryant was not in the crosswalk when he was hit and he was walking against the light.
