Driver Hurt In Croydon Crash

A grinding two vehicle accident sent one driver to the emergency room March 28,2024. The crash happened on the300 block of Bristol Pike. There were reports of a driver trapped but he was freed upon arrival of the first engine. Once firemen pried the drivers door open, the driver exited under his own power.

Police said a car was exiting the drive through from the new Checkers. That driver did not see vehicles coming south on Route 13 due to vehicles stopped and blocking his view.

Traffic was diverted down cross streets and through the Croydon shopping center until the wreckage could be cleared away. The driver who exited from the drive-thru sustained a hand injury but refused medical attention. The road was reopend in about 45 minutes.
