Hall Robbed Of Large Cash Proceeds On Frankford Ave.

It was just before 9:00 AM today, when an employee of the Freedom Hall, located at 8832 Frankford Avenue was about to make a bank deposit,and get proceeds ready, a black male dark complexion, approximately 5’8″ tall, wearing a face mask and a dark-colored hoodie, approached the victim and demanded the bag containing an unspecified amount of currency.
Subsequently, the offender assaulted the victim by striking him on the head with a handgun before absconding with the bag. The offender was seen operating a red SUV. There was no direction of travel given. Police sources said the amount of the theft was about $30,000.
Police are checking the area for video and will track the suspect using security cameras.
