Visa Gift Cards Stolen From Bensalem Store

Gift cards have no value until they are loaded with cash at the point of sale. Bensalem Police said that on May 10, 2024, Two black males entered the Dollar General located on Street Road, near Mechanicsville Road.

Police said the males took the gift cards to the register and then convinced the clerk to let them manipulate the register. Police did not say how much the card were loaded for.The male provided a debit card to the cashier, but the transaction was declined several times. The male stated that he had worked at Dollar General before and that the clerk was doing it wrong. He reached over and tapped the “cash” button, which then provided a receipt, which he grabbed and exited the store. The cashier was not involved.

The two males the got into a dark blue Honda Accord with an unknown temporary registration tag. They drove away in an unknown direction.
