Two Armed Carjackers Convicted For Crimes In Federal Court
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Two armed carjackers who threatened a victim last August 2023 were convicted at trial of their crimes. “Don’t say anything or I’ll blow your ‘f—ing’ head off — those were Quadir Findley’s words to the carjacking victim he forced down to the ground at gunpoint,” said U.S. Attorney Romero. “No one should be terrorized like that and made to fear for their life.
Findley was with Eric Dickerson, 24, when they came upon the victim and stole their car. Findley was also convicted of using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter, aggravated jury tampering, and drug distribution.
The defendants will be sentenced at a later date. Findley faces a mandatory minimum sentence of seven years in prison and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment. The maximum possible sentence for Dickerson is 15 years’ imprisonment.
Both could also face state jail time as well. Luckily, no one was shot in this car jacking. “Carjacking is a serious federal crime that will not go unpunished,” said ATF Special Agent in Charge Eric DeGree. “ATF Philadelphia Field Division and the Philadelphia Carjacking Task Force will continue to ensure justice for the victims and make our communities safer through federal prosecution.”
