40 Boxes Of Meat Stolen In Northeast Cargo Theft

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Thieves hit a tractor trailer early this morning on the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. It was there a parked tractor trailer was broken into by two black males, each driving Nissan vehicles. Police said the theft happened about 3:15 AM.

The driver was in the truck when he felt it shaking. 40 boxes of meat were stolen, but eight of those boxes were recovered in the rear of the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard, near the truck.

No arrests have been reported. In the past few months, multiple trucks were hit for their cargo, it is usually meat or seafood. Persons should be very leery of people trying to sell meat and seafood either on the street or to other places where food is served, or re sold. This food needs special handling in transport, that a person selling out of the back of a car does not have.
