Man charged in domestic highway assault

Police in Falls Township Bucks County have charged Andrew Ryan, 31, of Warminster with aggravated assault, DUI and related charges.  This stems from the incident yesterday on Lincoln Highway. Ryan had thrown a female out of his pick up truck and kept going.   Police said that the victim was Robin, his wife of just under two years. They had been arguing about money all day,  Andrew Ryan told the cops.  He also told them a slightly different  chain of events.

According to his  statement, he claimed he let his wife out of the pick up truck at an undisclosed location but she returned to the truck and got in. As she got in, she allegedly did not close the door all the way.  When they reached the area of Lincoln Highway near Oxford Valley Rd. he swerved to let her out of the vehicle a second time. Ryan told cops she did not ask to be let out. He saw her tumble onto the highway and he drove off. as Robin Ryan tried to stay in the vehicle, she ripped the console  and armrest from the truck in her struggle to stay in the vehicle. They were found a short distance away from her on the road.

She remains in critical condition and her prognosis is unknown. Andrew Ryan admitted to cops that he had been drinking in a bar.  he was arrested and video arraigned on his charges early this morning. He was remanded to Bucks County jail under $200,000 bail. His pick up truck was impounded.
