Shootings and Stabbings Over the Weekend

 With warmer weather there will be an uptick in violent crime. This is what was reported in Philadelphia the weekend of May 22, 2021.

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, at approximately 3:04 A.M., Police responded to the 300 block of West Albanus Street for report of a gunshot victim inside a property.   A 30-year-old black male was shot in the abdomen.  The incident occurred on the highway on the same block he was located.   He was transported by PFD-Medic Unit to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is currently listed in stable condition.   The scene was held, no arrest and no weapon recovered.  The investigation is active and ongoing with Northwest Detectives Division.

15th District-Shooting Incident  

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, at approximately 12:28 A.M., Police responded to the 1500 block of Pratt Street for report of a shooting victim on the highway. A 24-year-old black male was shot one time in the leg. He was transported by police to Temple University Hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.   The scene was held, no arrest and no weapon recovered.  The investigation is active and ongoing with Northeast Detectives Division.

26th District-Stabbing Incident  

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, at approximately 12:03 A.M., Police responded to Temple University Hospital-Episcopal Campus for a stabbing victim.   The location of the incident is unknown at this time.  A 30-year-old hispanic male was stabbed one time in the cheek.   He was transported by a private vehicle and is currently listed in stable condition.  The private vehicle left the hospital before police arrival.  No arrest.  The investigation is active and ongoing with East Detectives Division.

19th District-Stabbing Incident  

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, at approximately 12:03 A.M., Police responded to Lankenau Medical Center for a stabbing victim.   The incident occurred on the 300 block of North 61st Street on the highway.   A black male in his 30’s was stabbed one time in the torso.  He was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle and is currently listed in stable condition.   No scene was found, no arrest. The private vehicle left the hospital before police arrival.  The investigation is active and ongoing with Southwest Detectives Division.

14th District-Shooting Incident  

On Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, at approximately 10:02 P.M., Police responded to the 6400 block of Emlen Street for a person with a gun on the highway.  A 33-year-old black male was shot in the stomach and both legs.   He was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is currently listed in stable condition.  The scene was held, no arrest and no arrest. The investigation active and ongoing with Northwest Detectives Division.

19th District-Stabbing Incident  

On Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, at approximately 8:50 P.M., On the 200 block of North Alden Street a 16-year-old black male was stabbed two times in the stomach on the highway.  He was transported by PFD-Medic Unit to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and is currently listed in stable condition.  No scene was located and no arrest.  The investigation is active and ongoing with Southwest Detectives Division.

 

15th District- Homicide by Shooting Update  

On Saturday, May 22nd, 2021, at approximately 9:51 P.M., Police responded to the Frankford Terminal for gunshots on the highway and the scene was located on 5200 block of Frankford Avenue.  A 28-year-old black male suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.  He was transported by police to Temple University Hospital.
