This publication was the ONLY paper to report that a Croydon female was arrested for a dangerous police chase in Bensalem last week.. We now have more details on the incident. According to court records,  police were on patrol at the WAWA located at Street and Kingston. They saw a Chevy Malibu in the rear parking lot with temporary tags. Police ran that tag and it came back with no record.  As officers tried to investigate further,  the vehicle took off.

It stopped and two male passengers ran out of the vehicle. Police chased them on foot and one had a gun. It is unknown if they there captured or not.  Meanwhile, police chased the Malibu which was now heading towards Trevose. It ran over a gate to an office complex and then sped away towards I-95, at a high rate of speed.

It eventually crash into the woods at Street and State Roads. The driver, Tommie Timbers was taken into custody. Her passenger Amani Hines sustained critical injuries, police said.  Once she was in the hospital, Timbers tried to kick officers. Court documents state that she admitted to doing this and also driving the car, in an interview at police headquarters.

Had she simply pulled over, she would have been given citations. Now she has multiple charges , some of which are felonies.  You can read the original story here
