Escaped Prisoner Shane Pryor Back In Custody

Shane Pryor, the 17-year-old accused of an October 2020 shooting death of Tanya Harris on Torresdale Ave. He escaped from custody by faking a hand injury and getting transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, last week. Once in the parking lot, he ran away. He was not wearing cuffs.

About 6:30 PM tonight, he boarded a SEPTA bus near 3rd Street and the Roosevelt Blvd . US Marshals were watching him and pulled the bus over. There was nowhere for Pryor to run, with heavily armed agents surrounding the bus.

This time police and federal agents were not buying a hand injury and quickly handcuffed him.. In related news, Michael Diggs, 18, of Philadelphia is under arrest. Police investigated the escape and found he was driving a Following a thorough inquiry, Michael Diggs was formally charged with Hindering Apprehension, Escape, Use of Communication Facility, and Criminal Conspiracy in relation to Shane Pryor’s escape

Employees of the Juvenile Justice Center were transporting Pryor when he escaped, not Philadelphia Police.
